Alireza Adli

I am a researcher, software architect, and Python developer at the Next-Generation Cities Institute (NGCI), where I design software systems for sustainable development, geospatial data processing, and urban carbon assessment.

Research & Development

My work focuses on microservices-based frameworks, Python geospatial tools, and reusable automation pipelines for urban-scale carbon emissions evaluation. Sabu and CityGISOO are central parts of this software ecosystem.

Featured Projects

Sabu

I designed and continue to develop Sabu, a microservices-based software framework for sustainable development applications. Sabu supports projects such as sectoral and disaggregated carbon emissions evaluation, geospatial data cleaning and validation, and automated GIS workflows.

CityGISOO

As part of the Sabu ecosystem, I developed CityGISOO (Object-Oriented Geographic Information Systems for Cities), a Python library that simplifies the development of geospatial data cleaning pipelines and reusable GIS automation workflows. Like other Sabu services and libraries, CityGISOO can also be used independently in external projects.
